The Canadian Bioethics Society (CBS-SCB) is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Awards.
The CBS-SCB Lifetime Achievement Award is given annually to an individual whose demonstrated scholarship and/or leadership has contributed significantly to bioethics in Canada.
Application should include:
• Letter of Nomination demonstrating how the
candidate(s) meets criteria
• At least 3 letters of support
• Send the above to:
communications@cbs-scb.com
Nominations due July 31, 2025
• A clear focus on health care ethics in their
lifetime achievements
• National and international profile in bioethics.
• Outstanding leadership in shaping the field of bioethics in Canada.
• Primary consideration is given to nominees
whose major contributions have occurred in the Canadian context.
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding and dedicated service to the Canadian Bioethics Society-Société canadienne de bioéthique. The award will be presented to an individual or group that has advanced the mission of the CBS-SCB in a significant and lasting manner.
Application should include:
• Letter of Nomination demonstrating how the
candidate(s) meets criteria
• At least 3 letters of support
• Send the above to:
communications@cbs-scb.com
Nominations due July 31, 2025
• Service to the CBS-SCB in one or more capacities over an extended number of years.
• Primary driver behind one or more major initiatives that have been crucial to the CBS-SCBʼs development.
• Recognized widely, both within and outside the CBS-SCB, as a key contributor and member of the CBS-SCB.
• Embraces and reflects the values of the Society.
